Gary Stronach
Retiree
Born in Bedford, Nova Scotia, in 1950, Gary has lived and worked in the Halifax/Dartmouth area his entire life. After completing computer programming in college, he worked in banking before joining the Nova Scotia provincial government where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 2016.
Gary meet my wife in college and married in 1973 and they built their house themselves on Candy Mountain Road in Mineville where they still live. They were the second house to be built on the road and have enjoyed over 50 years there, including raising two children in a wonderful friendly neighbourhood.
After retiring Gary continued to do volunteer work in Mineville as a member of the Mineville Community Association, doing park maintenance, roadside cleanups, community events and being a good neighbor.
